ACTRIS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR)the established database in which REALTORS efficiently market available houses. this includes foreclosures, commercial properties, multi-family dwellings, residential houses, land, and all types of leases.  [Side note: There are not many foreclosures in Austin due to the popularity of the city] The MLS is by far the most accurate and largest collection of real estate properties for sale and for lease in the Austin area. Unless you are a licensed real estate agent with local board and MLS privileges, you are not technically “searching the MLS” on any websites available to the public.  Due to different agent membership levels and obvious owner privacy issues, ALL websites advertising mls searches are only pulling filtered information from the MLS database and presenting them to you in an effective manner. o Go to the section labeled Personal Firewall

o Click Configure in the bottom right hand corner

o Choose the Home Networking tab

o At the bottom, in the Restricted Zone section, make sure Trusted has been selected

o Click the Add button underneath that section

o Type the Web address that needs to be allowed (ex. Actris.mlxchange.com) and click Ok

o Click the Add button again to add the Web address actris.mlxchange.com and click Ok and the

Ok again

o This should work right away. If it does not, close Internet Explorer (IE) and then go back into

MLXchange from the start

Q: Is MLXchange compatible with Macintosh computers?

A: A server has been added to allow Mac computer to work with MLXchange. The link for the ACTRIS CITRIX users is  http://citrix001.interealty.com/Citrix/MetaFrame/actris_mlx3.htm. When you open this link, the page will provide instructions on how to download the CITRIX client and how to create a shortcut on your desktop for accessing the MLXchange application.
